• Klyn is now published and operated by Creative Adventures Lab SASU. Same app, only an administrative change: the SASU is a French company, and it is the data controller for the App. Your data continues to be handled in the same way, under this same policy. The data controller's legal details and our new contact email address, [email protected], are in Section 13.
• Section 2.11 has been updated with more detail on how age assurance works on your device. Nothing about what we receive or store changes.

This is a plain-language summary of the changes in version 1.4.0, provided for convenience. It does not replace the full Privacy Policy below; where this summary and a numbered Section differ, the Section governs.

• You can now write your own step-by-step instructions on a task, and they sync to your household. Previously the steps shown inside a task were fixed and stored only on your own device. You can now edit them, add your own, and remove ones that do not apply to your home. When you use household sharing, the steps on a shared chore are stored on our servers and are visible to — and editable by — every member, exactly like a task name. See Sections 2.3 and 9.
• The steps you write are now one of the custom fields you are responsible for. They are free text you type, so please keep them about the cleaning and do not put personal or sensitive information in them. See Section 2.3.
• You can now search your tasks from the Home screen, and the search runs entirely on your device. Nothing you type into the search box is sent to us, logged, or stored — it only filters the task and room names already on your phone. See Section 3.
• Smaller precisions and clarifications. See Sections 2.3, 2.11, 6 and 11.

This Privacy Policy explains how Creative Adventures Lab SASU ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Klyn mobile application (available on the App Store and Google Play, also referred to as "Klyn" or "the App"). It also describes your rights under applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").

Please read this policy carefully. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.

1. Our Core Privacy Principle

Klyn is designed to be private by default and local-first. Your rooms, tasks, cleaning history, streaks, sessions, settings, and widget data are stored exclusively on your device — none of this content is stored on our servers when you use the App on your own.
