Effective with the release of Klyn version 1.5.0.

Here's what changed in this update:

This is a plain-language summary of the changes in version 1.5.0, provided for convenience. It does not replace the full Terms of Use below; where this summary and a numbered Section differ, the Section governs.

• Klyn is now published and operated by Creative Adventures Lab SASU. Same app, only an administrative change: the SASU is a French company, and it is the party you contract with under these Terms. Your subscription, your data and every feature carry on exactly as before. Our legal details and our new contact email address, [email protected], are in Section 17.
• Section 2.1 has been updated with more detail on how age assurance works on your device.
• The Acceptable Use section has been updated with reminders of restrictions that apply to every user and are mandatory to respect. See Section 4.

• You can now write your own step-by-step instructions on a task. The steps inside a task used to be fixed. You can now edit them, add your own, reorder them, and remove ones that do not apply to your home, and in a household they are shared with and editable by every member. Some steps are locked: the App marks them and they cannot be edited, removed, or reordered. Most are locked because deleting them would make the task unsafe; a few are locked because they tell you to check a manufacturer's instructions or call a qualified professional. You can restore a task's original steps at any time. Anything you write is your own content and your responsibility. See Sections 6.2, 6.5 and 7.1.
• The steps you write are now one of the custom fields you are responsible for. Alongside the household name, room names and task names, the steps on a shared chore are visible to — and editable by — every member of your household, so keep them about the cleaning and do not enter personal or sensitive information in them. See Section 6.2.
• We reminded you that our built-in tasks and steps are generic suggestions, and that your own manuals come first. The room list, task list and the step-by-step instructions we ship are written for a typical home and a typical appliance, not for yours. Where a step differs from — or does not address — the manufacturer's manual, care label or product label for the item you are actually cleaning, follow the manufacturer. You remain responsible for the procedures, products and tools you actually use, and for judging whether a task or step is safe in your own home. See Section 7.
• **We reminded you of our safety guidance — including falls, working at height, and always using appropriate protective equipment.**Alongside our existing guidance on cleaning chemicals and electrical equipment, we set out what we ask of you before cleaning anything you cannot reach safely from the floor — including never leaning out of a window, and calling a professional for exterior windows above ground level, roofs and gutters — and what to wear to protect your hands, eyes, and lungs for the task in front of you. See Section 7.1.
• Smaller precisions and clarifications. See Sections 1, 2, 2.1, 4, 6.3 and 6.5.
